What does beauty positivity mean to you?
Tay:
Beauty positivity is something that grows inside of you and its power emits through your actions, style, and personality. Being beautiful isn’t about the features you were born with. It’s more about being content with who you are no matter who’s rules or standards you are defying. You create your own beautiful, even if people don’t agree. As long as you agree that you look amazing, nothing else should matter.

Tay:
What are some of your own beauty/ self care tips?
Tay: I usually take a hot shower, do my skin care routine, put on comfy clothes, have a snack and watch my comfort shows or movies. Taking care of yourself doesn’t always have to be face masks, manicures and pedicures, or exfoliating your skin. You can just relax and let your body recover no matter how simple or complex the routine is. Just as long as you feel accomplished and good  after, that’s all that really matters.

You seem so relaxed and natural in front of the camera. What are some of the things you have learned/tips you have for modeling?
Tay: I honestly just think of a camera as someone’s eyes. I’m just being who I am, and they’re looking at me. If not that, I think back to all of the times I imagined myself in a scenario like this. What if I was famous and paparazzi came bombarding me? I realized people look a lot better on camera when they look relaxed, so honestly you just act as if you’re the main character, be ethereal if you want, and then do what you have to do.

What are your summer plans?
Tay: I plan to stock up on bikinis and go to the beach with my boyfriend. I want to teach him how to surf so we can go out together and just have fun. I just see a lot of swimming and smoothies in the near future. Summer is always a great time to hang out with my friends and family, plus the opportunity to find something to do is endless.

What is your vacay dream destination(s)?
Tay: I want to go somewhere that’s tropical and vibrant. I’m yet to find somewhere that catches my eye like that because people have found all of the good spots to go. But somewhere very beautiful and of course, right next to the water. I’ve always dreamt of living in Hawaii, but I’m sure I’d probably change my mind like I do every year.
